Well known in the reggae, rock and world music arenas, Aashid Himons started recording space music in the early 1980s. It is his prefered music style for personal listening inspirations.

NEW RELEASE 3/02 "Principles of Peace" reflects inspirations from Aashid's recent work with the United Nations. This CD is the result of a single setting session between Aashid and long-time collaborator, Giles Reaves.

Alone In Space, a new solo album of space music from multi-genre recording artist Aashid Himons. Himons, who is best known as the pioneer of Blu-Reggae, recorded his first space music composition in 1982. “When I record alone, there are no other musicians to react to and play off of,” the West Virginia native explains. “It’s just me and my keyboards, and the Ancestors, of course, who are guiding my hands.” A frequent collaborator with Giles Reaves, Alone in Space finds Mr. Reaves magic processing the original tracks performed by Aashid.
