I redesigned the Nashville Bonsai Society logo at right soon after joining the organization. I had previously had a volcanic looking mountain in the background, but since our group is in Tennessee, I felt that Tennessee mountains were more appropriate, and also adding color and the groups name around the picture in the center area.

These mammoth sunflower seeds from Ferry - Morse Seed Company were planted on Sunday, May 4th, 2003. The afternoon before the tornado's hit Tennessee. We had continual rain and a flooding around the Middle Tennessee area and these sprouted in 4 days.

Gerb's Herbs

Here is the status of our wonderful herb garden. Visible in this picture is Basil, Parsley, Chives, Lemon - Thyme, Golden Sage, Lemon Grass, Lavender, Tarragon and Apple Mint. At the bottom of the picture to the left of the fossil stone there are small American Maple seedlings.

These little seedlings are coming up all over our property. This one came out of the garden. I am going to let a few grow, but this one I was studying to see the different parts of a newly sprouted tree.
