A current project-in-progress is a body of work consisting of
songs based on poems of Wm. Blake, Dylan Thomas, A.Rimbaud, E.A.Poe,
Oscar Wilde, Thomas Hardy and Lord Byron. Titled "Distant Voices",
this is perhaps Anderson's most ambitious and inspired work to
date.Instead of the usual spoken word with musical accompaniment,
these are true songs, possessing a compelling simplicity and a
melodic yet melancholy character. Anderson gives voice and expression
to the works of these great poets and sustains the spirit in which
they were written. |
