11/24/03 - An amazing lineup of artists on the new Roedelius and friends album, "American Steamboat." THE MUSICAL ARTISTS

• Eric Spitzer-Marlyn - Film director, producer, composer, musician, (famous Austrian guitar-player) long-term collaborator with director Werner Herzog and teacher at the University of Vienna, Austria.
• David Bickley ( England / Ireland ) - Film director, composer and musician.
• Fabio Capanni - Architect, composer, musician, writer, pupil of Ennio Moricone, professor of architecture and composition at the University of Florenz, Italy.
• Alec Way - Composer, musician and artist.
• Eric Bonerz - Composer, musician, producer, magician and photographer.

OCTOBER 2003

10/30/03 - Catch an mp3 preview of the cut "who is the captain" off of the new ROEDELIUS CD, entitled "American Steamboat" coming out in November!

10/23/03 - Richard Roberts of Zero Ohms fame and Tony Gerber are working on a new recording. Watch for the fruits of this new collaboration in 2004 sometime.

10/23/03 - William Linton has returned from Colorado recording his last bit of video footage for the "Natural Montage" DVD-R to be released here next month. A fantastic lineup of new music with some of the best nature footage we have seen.

AUGUST 2003

8/27/03 - Watch for new releases coming in the last quarter of this year from Roedelius, Spacecraft, Tony Gerber, Craig Padilla, Mason Stevens and more!

8/27/03 - Fred Becker's classic electronic music CD debut from 1991 has been re-released here at Space for Music. We welcome him to the roster...Check him out!

JULY 2003

7/25/03 - NEW DVD-R Limited Release entitled "Natural Montage" featuring music from William Linton, Tony Gerber, SPACECRAFT and more. This is the 2nd DVD product from the Space for Music crew. Watch for availability in August!

MAY 2003

5/8/03 - NEW ARTISTS at SFM ! Longtime scientist and musician, Fred Becker, releases first CD at SFM in May. "Inner Stellar" is the title of this classic release from planetarium music creator and former NASA engineer. The talented electronic duo of Jeremy Dickens and Mike Bedingfield of AUTOMATA has debut CD at SFM. A little more upbeat, but still chill and smooth. This is a dynamite CD!

MARCH 2003

3/20/03 - BRAND NEW RELEASES from Ken Martin "Crystal Voyage" of the UK and also a followup to the number one CD seller of 2002, Zero Ohms and Brannan Lane with "Immense Distance", a tribute to the Columbia Shuttle and Crew.

3/7/03 - A new page has gone up to feature full length songs in mp3 format for listening and download... go to this page...

FEBRUARY 2003

2/16/03 - We are in the process of transfering all mp3 sample listening files to our own server here at Space for Music...This means gradually we will be adding mp3 files for listening samples to each of our artists pages.

2/14/03 - Soon to be available here at SFM will be two new ways to buy the music you crave. (1) MP3 dowloads for MP3 Players and (2) No Paper versions of our CD catalog. This means the CD contains all relevent text printed on the label, packaged in a vinyl sleeve compatible with most CD holders and you have the option of downloading CD booklet and traycard art files from the SFM Website for your own printouts if you want to use jewel cases, etc. Both of these new ways will save you money and the environment.

2/12/03 - The Kentucky Theatre in Lexington, KY has booked the newly reconstructed film, Metropolis, and asked SPACECRAFT to do the soundtrack, live. This exciting film and music experience will be April 24th, 2003. Check back for more details.

JANUARY 2003

1/13/03 - Progress is happening on the "American Steamboat" project from ROEDELIUS with Eric Bonerz, Alec Way, David Bickley and Eric Marlyn. Alec Way has been emailing various pieces of original art to Space for Music and we will be getting it together for the CD artwork soon. Look for a Feb. or March release of this more upbeat, gentle cruiser of a recording, possibly "Instrumental Pop of the Future".

1/3/03 - We made it through a very lean 2002 year. Many of our independent label peers did not make it to 2003. Your continued interest in the music represented on this site will keep Space for Music growing. A Grand Happy Holidays to you all. Thanks again.
