Tony Gerber “LIVE” In Concert
INFORMATION ON MINDSPIRAL: FOR TICKET INFO: MindSpiral.com
mindSpiral is the brainchild of Colorado-based electronic space musician Mike Metlay, who brings with him a 30-year career as an artist, producer, bandleader, community-builder, and event organizer in the realm of experimental music. While Mike is most famous for the Different Skies concerts at Arcosanti, Arizona, he has gained critical and popular acclaim for the concerts he does at home for his local audience under the name mindSpiral.
mindSpiral has been described as "Mike, plus anyone who picks up the phone, hears Mike saying, 'Hey, I have this great new musical idea....', and doesn't hang up." Mike reaches out into the world of electronic, experimental, meditative ambient, and space musicians, and selects one or more partners to come to Colorado and create beauty with him.
Past mindSpiral members have included world-famous space musician Giles Reaves, experimental guitar veteran John DuVal, UK-based electronic arts master Nick Rothwell (a.k.a. CASSIEL), tribal-ambient percussionist Paul Vnuk Jr. (of Ma Ja Le), and ambient electronica artists like Tim Walters (of The Doubtful Palace), David Herpich (of Emerald Adrift), and Darrell Burgan (a.k.a. Palancar). Albums of mindSpiral music have been released on Atomic City Records and on the Earth Mantra and Just Not Normal netlabels.
Every mindSpiral experience is as different as the musicians who take part, and the newest incarnation of the project, pairing Mike with space-music master Tony Gerber (a.k.a. Cypress Rosewood), looks to be a stellar undertaking.

Tony Gerber is famous in the space music arena: founder of Space For Music Records, successful recording artist both as a soloist and as part of the popular live-music ensemble SPACECRAFT (whose music has appeared in the Tom Cruise film VANILLA SKY), and groundbreaking "virtual reality" artist in the online world of Second Life, where in his guise as Cypress Rosewood he has played hundreds of concerts for audiences around the world.
